Ina, IL

History

The Chicago, Paducah and Memphis Railroad completed track from Marion through Ina to Altamont on February 1, 1895. The Eastern Illinois Company purchased the segment on February 20, 1897. At some point a depot was built. In 1918, a new building was constructed after moving the first one to East Second Street. Ina Station was closed on May 5, 1958.
